Sur S. is a junior and a writer for The Fourth Estate. Sur became interested in journalism during the 2024 election cycle after seeing the different coverage and misleading claims from certain organizations, and originally joined the Fourth Estate to satisfy his art credit graduation requirement (he now stays in it because he enjoys writing). He now focuses on political topics and occasionally sports as well. Outside of reporting, Sur spends his time running cross-country and track for J.P. McCaskey, suffering through calculus work, captaining the LCDS Quiz Bowl team, and hopes to attend Texas A&M University one day. He works to keep the school community informed about current political topics, including those that might be more obscure.
